Based in Indianapolis, Indiana Minority Business Magazine (IMBM) is published quarterly and geared toward a professional audience. Celebrating diversity and highlighting the achievements of minorities and women is a central purpose.

The magazine also provides helpful information for all readers, including small business owners, young professionals, and corporations. Feature articles cover executives and successful entrepreneurs from a variety of industries across Indiana. Popular recurring sections include Boardroom Briefs, Up the Ladder, Hoosier Marketplace, On the Scene, Tech Talk, and the Work Style fashion spread.  Each issue features special guest columnists and tips related to topics such as professional advancement, workplace unity, and personal wellness.

Indianapolis radio personality Rickie Clark launched IMBM in 2003. In 2007, the magazine was acquired by The Indianapolis Recorder newspaper and its publisher, entrepreneur William G. (Bill) mays. Both publications later merged under a new holding company, The Recorder Media Group.

Since 2007, each January, guests from across the Midwest gather for IMBM’s annual Champions of Diversity awards dinner. The dinner has taken place at venues such as the Hyatt Regency, the Marriott, and the JW Marriott in downtown Indianapolis. Special awards are given to individuals, institutions, and organizations who are both leaders in their industry and strong advocates of diversity.
