The Hagan-Burke Trail is located north of Indianapolis in
. Named after Judy Hagan and Ed Burke, two community leaders who served on many different Councils, the trail has enhanced intra-connectivity within Carmel as well as the inter-connectivity to the capital city of Indianapolis.The 1.4-mile trail connects at the north side of the 146th Street. Though less than two miles in length, the asphalt trail provides valuable connections to three other trails in Carmel. At its southern point located at 136th Street users can access the Monon Trail which stretches to Indianapolis. The northeast terminus at 146th Street provides access to two trails, the 0.4-mile Greyhound Trail which ends at Carmel High School, and the 2.3-mile east-west 146th Street Trail which travels through Carmel.
Trail and heads northeast toWinding through wooded areas along Cool Creek, the Hagan-Burke Trail is a designated greenway for bikers, in-line skaters, wheelchair users, walkers, and runners.
