Crooked Creek is a neighborhood centered along Michigan Road on the city’s northwest side. This diverse neighborhood has long been an African American suburb, and about half of residents are Black. Most of the housing stock was constructed in the 1950s and 1960s. The median household income is slightly below average compared to Marion County.
