The Indianapolis Public Library maintains the digital Encyclopedia of Indianapolis, which is a civic project that involves collaborating and advisory groups.

Civic Advisory Committee provides oversight and advice, with the aim of preserving the encyclopedia as a trustworthy and nonpartisan resource.  

The Steering Committee, composed of the partners, facilitates the  encyclopedia’s efforts to tap existing digital archives and to enhance digital collections.
